PRODUCT WARRANTY

Perma-Lights warrants that all products sold will conform to the specifications provided by the purchaser (unless modified through a written agreement between both parties) and will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is valid only under conditions of proper storage, installation, use, and maintenance, as well as compliance with applicable recommendations by Perma-Lights and adherence to Canadian safety standards.

 

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Perma-Lights’ exclusive obligation under this warranty is to repair or, at its discretion, replace any product proven defective within 5 years of the original installation date or within the diode lifespan of 50,000 hours. Purchasers must provide prompt written notice of defects (no later than 30 days from discovery) along with proof of defect, and allow Perma-Lights’ representatives to inspect the product at the installation site.

Any portion of the product repaired or replaced by Perma-Lights under these conditions will carry a prorated warranty not exceeding the original 5-year period or diode lifespan of 50,000 hours.

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

This warranty is in place of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose. Perma-Lights will not be held liable for any direct, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of use, or claims from third parties. Perma-Lights’ liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the defective product.

 

MATERIAL AND LABOR WARRANTY

All materials installed by Perma-Lights will include the limited warranty referenced above. The aluminum finishes are warranted not to chip, peel, flake, or blister under normal conditions of wear. The warranty on LED light strings and diodes is set at 50,000 hours of usage.

Labor for warranty-related repairs will be covered by Perma-Lights for defects in materials or workmanship. However, service calls resulting from customer-caused damage or misuse will incur labor charges.

 

NON-TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY

This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover the following:

• Accidental damage, vandalism, or misuse.
• Structural changes to the property (e.g., settlement, shrinkage, or distortion).
• Environmental factors such as air pollution, mold, mildew, or airborne stains.
• Acts of God, including but not limited to fire, lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, hail, windstorms, and water or ice damage.

 

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE CALLS

If a light fails due to a manufacturer defect within 5 years, Perma-Lights will replace the part at no charge. Customers will only be responsible for labor costs. If a service call is required due to damage caused by the customer, labor and part replacement costs will apply.

The lifespan of the products is dependent on standard usage conditions. While Perma-Lights strives to provide durable and reliable systems, performance may vary based on external factors and proper care.
