Can I buy Perma-Lights lights myself?
No, Perma-Lights does not offer a DIY option for any of our outdoor LED solutions. However, if you’re located outside the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, we have a wide network of Authorized Dealers throughout British Columbia who can professionally install and service our permanent outdoor LED packages. Contact us at email@perma-lights.com to find out if there’s an Authorized Dealer near you.
What do Perma-Lights cost?
The cost of our Outdoor Track Lighting will vary based on factors such as the number of linear feet of roofline and the peak height of the highest LED that needs to be installed. For an exact quote for your home, click any of the “Free Estimate” or “Get Quote” buttons on our website.
Are Perma-Lights Outdoor LED Track Lighting systems waterproof?
Yes, our system is fully waterproof and IP67 rated, ensuring it withstands rain, snow, and other weather conditions without issue.
Can I customize the lights on permanent outdoor LED’s?
Absolutely! Our system allows full customization of colours. Long-press any colour circle outside the gray line box on the colour palette screen to access the custom colour menu. You can slide through the colour spectrum or input specific RGB codes to fine-tune your colours. Once selected, the custom colour is saved for easy reuse.
What types of white lighting are available if I don’t want colours?
With our RGBW lights, you can achieve a pure, natural white light thanks to the dedicated white LED pixels. You can also adjust shades of white using the app, reducing blue tones or customizing the brightness to match your preference.
How long does the Perma-Lights Outdoor LED Track System last?
Our lights are designed to last up to 50,000 hours, which translates to approximately 25 years with average daily usage of 5–7 hours.
How much does it cost to run Perma-Lights?
The average home (with 115 linear feet of roofline) uses approximately 150 lights. Running the system for 6 hours per day on maximum brightness (1 watt/light) costs less than $5 per month or $60 annually, based on a $0.16 kilowatt hour rate.
Are Perma-Lights protected from UV damage?
Yes, all wires, cables, and lights in the Perma-Lights system are UV-rated to prevent fading or degradation over time, ensuring optimal performance for years to come.
Can Perma-Lights be installed on different soffit and fascia materials such as wood?
Yes, our team can install the system on both wood and aluminum trim. We’ll assess your home and select the best track for a seamless fit. If you have any questions about the chosen track, we’re happy to help.
Is there ongoing support after installation?
